One of my roommates in the hospital was a woman who had a stroke because she had stopped taking her medication for high blood pressure. (High blood pressure is one of the most common causes of strokes.) She was a nice lady, but I remember being annoyed at her, because she could have avoided everything -- stroke, hospital, therapy -- if she had simply taken her pills.

I'm not angry at her anymore.

I bet she takes her meds now.
